As a new mom who no longer gets to nap, when the Hill House Home Napdress broke, it made me slightly envious of all those who still have the luxury of a midday snooze. As I have become increasingly sleep-deprived, I have held the Napdress in contempt. I do not get to nap, and that should preclude me from wearing a Napdress.
I resisted Hill House Home until about three weeks ago when I ordered the Laura dress. I ordered it in a size extra large, as I wanted any extra length and I knew I could belt it with the sash. Thanks to the seam at the waistline (empire waist, actually on me), I now recognize that I prefer it sans sash. The dress still fits too big, but I can eventually have it taken in.

Stubbs & Wootten loafers come with a steep price tag but every pair I bought has been on sale. As I have three pairs, I can speak to the sizing with confidence. Fit-wise, I had to return my first pair which I ordered in a size 10.5 in exchange for a pair of size 11 loafers. I would typically chalk this up to my post Pamper Pirate pregnancy foot swell, but my husband had to return his for a half size larger as well.

The quality of the footwear brand is also top notch. Upon my first week in Kazakhstan, I slipped and fell in the snow while wearing my Pollocks. I was relieved and impressed to see that the velvet loafer stood up to a Kazakhstan snow bank and later, my husband’s office, as I was bracing myself for blisters as I do for the most beautiful of shoes. Alas the loafers did not ail my feet in the slightest. I repeat: the break-in period is literally nil.
