Two weekends ago, the fiance and I headed up to the roof deck to watch the Kentucky Derby and enjoy a bottle of wine. (Our building has quite the swanky roof, with the outdoor television and furniture set-up.) While the weather was mild on the ground, the wind was in full effect ten floors up.
I initially met this dress in Anthropologie back in January. Even though we had a temperate winter, I could not fathom shopping for spring at the time of our acquaintance. However weeks later, I just could not forget about it, or the lovely dress that I wrote about last week. By the beginning of April, both dresses were marked down and thus, found a home in my closet.
Ever since Kate Middleton started sporting them, I have been on the hunt for a pair of navy blue wedges. The ones I frequently see her in have a cork wedge, and I suspect that they are this style.
I was not ready to take the plunge on such a pricey shoe, having never tried them on. Instead I went with an espadrille wedge with a little less aggressive height. They fit true to size and an overall great choice.
I have already expressed my love for Krewe du Optic eyewear. I last wore this pair on an unseasonably warm Sunday in February. I love the blue polarized lenses against the tortoise frames and 24 karat gold arms. I obsessed about this particular pair in this particular colorway until they eventually disappeared from the online store. And then I obsessed about them even more, until I eventually called the brick-and-mortar location and asked if there were any left. There was indeed a pair left, and they were my Valentine’s Day gift.
