Moratorium | 307/58

October, not as successful as September in terms of sticking to my Shopping Moratorium 2018. Still, I don’t think it was the worst, as I did show some restraint when it came to buying. Most of the stuff I bought, I had been obsessed with to the point of actually writing about crushing on it on Lucindervention. Let’s review the winners, shall we?

I bought this cashmere blend sweater dress in camel (also available in navy and charcoal gray) and the ribbed version in pink. I saw the camel version. I loved it. I wrote about it. I hunted it. I bought it. At some point, I found the ribbed version (also available in black) I love the way the pink looks with a pair of suede gray ankle boots and suede skinny gray belt. Before I knew it, these were both in my closet.

I envisioned the above pale pink sweater dress with this exact belt for the ultimate 1980s-preppy-mean-girl in the teen movie lewk. Somebody get me a young James Spader to accessorize with, stat!

I wrote about this pant after discovering that they are available in long. So after much thought, I bought the ultimate chic joggers. These winners come in long, and though they are largely sold out, you can bet that I am stalking out the army green, navy blue, and black versions in my size, especially now that they are marked down. I initially imagined wearing these with skater sneakers and a leather coat, but I wore them with a silk blouse (this one) and a pair of high block heels. It was a fantastic casual Friday outfit.

tory-burch-New-Claret-Shelby-Cap-Toe-BootieI was feigning for an oxblood boot this season to wear with the below sweater. (Just the word feels autumnal to me…oxblood. Does that sound sadistic?) However, I have not found a pair of full length boots in the shade that I love. Cut to me Googling oxblood booties. I loved this pair, but I was afraid that the heel was too high; not because of the height but because of comfort. Cut to me discovering this cap toe pair and consequently including it in my cap toe story. While the oxblood (or officially, claret) version of the cap toe version is sold out (I suspect it was exclusive to Nordstrom), it certainly is worth stalking out. Glass half full? This ankle boot remains available in black, dusty gray, and black.

These earrings are costume, inexpensive, and with the store rewards I earned over the past few months, free. I am not typically a fan of costume jewelry, but these were a definitive yes.

Charlotte York wore a pair of these leggings while rollerblading during a season one episode of Sex and the City, and you know how I love Sex and the City. Now I just need a pair of rollerblades and a windbreaker to really nail that late 90s sporty look.

What is there to say about this trifecta of sporty prep? We have the entire trio represented: crew, tennis, and rugby via a rowing blazer, tennis sweater, and rugby socks. I am just biding my time until I procure that pleated skirt to add to the closet because bitch, pleats.

Holy esh.

Maybe my October shopping got out of hand, after all.
