I was watching Pretty Woman on the flight from Frankfurt to Dulles and one of her outfits caught my eye. It was a matching blazer and Bermuda shorts set, post-makeover montage of course.
It is completely serendipitous that Banana Republic released a pinstripe vest and Bermuda short set in a dark pinstripe on cream background. It is the perfect modern interpretation of the Pretty Woman ensemble. The best part is that the vest is available in tall. I think we all agree when I say that the ample inseam of the Bermuda short does not necessitate a tall size option.
I think the set must have been popular because Banana Republic also released the vest and shorts in a butter yellow. Really, the ideal look for shopping on Rodeo and commanding respect from a snotty shopgirl.
