We added to my husband’s and son’s arsenal of fair isle sweaters. I also shopped the Matchesfashion Private Sale. Two Toteme sweaters and a silk wrap skirt that reminds me of what I wore in high school circa 1999 later…
I received a slew of orders this week, most of which I ended up loving and keeping. The green coat, pink gown, Keith Haring sweatshirt and tee from Abercrombie, Keith Haring tee from Gap, Smythe rifle blazer and duster coat, 7 For All Mankind Dojo denim (the ones I originally returned and had to go down two sizes in), and Banana Republic wool plaid kilt were winners.
I had to send back the Mavi denim and purchase a size larger. While I could jump my legs into the pants, the size 30 would not button. Luckily I had a hunch that would be the case; there is a size larger on the way. Along with the Mavi denim, went the large red Dudley Stephens fleece. The upper arms were cut especially tight, and I do not have big arms. I sent it back for an exchange; I can layer a sleeveless beneath it, perfect for snow days.
