When moving to a new city, finding a tailor and dry cleaner is up there with finding an OB-GYN, dentist, optometrist, pediatrician for your littles, etc. You want to find someone who is reputable and trustworthy.
Luckily, the tailor and dry cleaner who my husband and I frequented while we previously lived in Philadelphia made it through the pandemic and still had our information on file. I am talking about Dress Right Tailor and Dry Cleaner. Located at Academy House, this dry cleaner and tailor is convenient to those who live in Rittenhouse Square, Society Hill, and Graduate Hospital. Add Fitler Square and Queen Village to that list, should you have other business in the area.
I appreciate that my dry cleaning or tailoring is always ready on time, the pricing is consistent with what I remember from the states pre-time in KZ, and the team always presents solutions. For example, the second and third from the top buttons on the Pamper Pirate’s Palm Front Petite Plume pajamas went missing. While I had exactly one spare, I was hoping that Dress Right would have a dead ringer for the remaining one. They did not, but they came up with an alternative. The tippy top button that is never actually buttoned was moved to replace one and the spare replaced the other. A bright green button the same exact shade as the green in the palm tree print replaced the tippy top button. Problem solved. And adorable!
