Five Inside 60 (1)

Now that I have made it past my first six weeks postpartum, I am working out again. I missed it, particularly the endorphin rush. While I initially experienced soreness that could only be relieved with a Tylenol or Advil and lots of water, the pain did not stop me from pushing through five classes in my first week back.

I won’t be signing up for any races for 2024. My major fitness goal is to run five miles inside of sixty minutes. That means five twelve minute miles, which is admittedly mild. The pace is not the challenging part for me; rather it is the mileage. I cannot even jog a mile in my present state, and trust me when I say that I tried!

I will be taking at least 35 more Barry’s classes, as I have 35 more class credits. Any class that is either total body or lower body focused, I will commit to a tread / floor or floor / tread spot, as opposed to double floor. When the class credits run out, I am going to take advantage of the good weather and start Nike Run App guided runs from the shortest time and distance and build from there. The journey will be the reward.
