Happy National Beer Day! Now this is an arbitrary holiday that I can get behind.
Sour beers are my year round favorite variety and DC Brau is my favorite local (DC, you understand) brewery. The limited edition Rosé du Gosé, a fantastic collaboration between DC Brau and Cape May Brewing Company, remains one of my all time favorite brews. The tagline was “Fruity. Salty. Delicious.” Many other gose beers cite salty as a flavor, but I never find them salty; rather I find them to be tart. It is a taste that I enjoy so much that I still dream about Rosé du Gosé four years later. Unfortunately I have not seen it available since the summer of 2020 (~pandemic memories~) and as such, I have deferred to other sour beers.
I recommend responsibly celebrating National Beer Day with one of my favorite two evergreen sour beers: the Evil Twin Brewery Sour Bikini and the Anderson Valley Brewing Company Melon Gose. Thank goodness these options are still available, not that I have drank alcohol lately.
Looking at you second pregnancy.
