How many Juliet Dunn dresses are too many? The limit does not exist!
the juliet dunn printed cotton midi dress
The bow back printed cotton midi dress is the third Juliet Dunn dress style of which I indulged, first being the button front midi and second being the flared sleeve mini. The bow back variation is much easier to wear than the other styles and as such, I am the most shocked that I only own it in one colorway.
This style dress is ever easier to wear than the brand’s signature button front frock, at least for those who carry weight in their chest. The buttons on the go-to gateway style tend to gape above the empire waist, whereas the side zipper on the bow back printed cotton midi dress is a more secure closure. Having a more modest hemline than the flared sleeve mini, I prefer it when I have to chase around the littles.
Let’s talk sizing. Juliet Dunn is a British brand but rather than standard U.K. sizing, the brand offers numeral sizing in 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4. Keep in mind that the 4 has been relatively recently offered, as early as late 2022, that I noticed anyways. The size 0 translates to a U.S. size 2/4, 1 to a 4/6, 2 to a 6/8, 3 to a 8/10, and 4 to a 10. In the flared sleeve mini dress, I wear a size 2. Until the size 4 was offered, I wore a size 3 in the button front dress and honestly at times struggling to button it at the bust. Now that the 4 is offered, I went with it for the bow back printed cotton midi dress.
