Cashmere Rerun

Same dress, different color.

Same fiber, different style.

the banana republic cashmere turtleneck midi dress

I bought this dress and the black colorway for full price. There was no way I was going to miss out on a cashmere dress that was available in tall, especially after my size sold out once. I got to thinking about the two Banana Republic Cashmere Turtleneck Midi Dresses in the black and heathered fawn brown and it struck me that I was wearing versions very similar last year – and four years ago – while I was very pregnant.

One of my favorite maternity items was a one hundred percent cashmere dolman sleeve sweater dress from Hatch. It was available in red, jade green, fawn brown, and black. I bought it in the latter two colors and really got my money’s worth between the two neutral shades. I mean, I wore them both at least once a week during both pregnancies. The dresses were just so cozy that they were irresistible.

I am thrilled to have found a non-maternity equivalent to the sweater dress that I spent so much time in while with child. Like the maternity version, I anticipate wearing at least one of these once a week because I still like to feel cozy.

the banana republic factory store true hues slip

I argue that most dresses meant for the office require a slip. Luckily I stocked up on several nude shades and the white from the Banana Republic Factory Store True Hues line circa beginning of 2021. I apparently foresaw the return to the office in my future even though that would not come for another three and a half years.

Nevertheless, while I do not love the fabric, I am glad I got those slips when I did because back then they were available in a tall size range. I am wearing the slip in a size large tall.
