As always, Banana Republic delivers on tall size range holiday collection in natural / luxe fabrics. I jumped at this silk – silk, I say! not some poly amalgam! – shirt when I saw it was available in my size as I knew I would be able to wear it with anything from a dressy skirt, delivering on a cocktail party outfit, to a pair of denim, for something much more low-key.

the banana republic siena slim italian wool ankle pant

I bought these pants earlier in quarter three, but am just now getting around to wearing them. They remind me a bit of the pants Audrey wore in Funny Face, due to the cropped length and slim cut. The fancier Italian wool fabric moved me to not pair them with a black turtleneck a la the beatnik-esque main character.

Design-wise, they have side slash pockets, which I kept sewn shut in order to keep a streamlined silhouette, and back horizontal button pockets. The pants are unlined, however it does not make them uncomfortable. They are two percent elastane, so they do have a bit of give.
