In / My Bag

In a total twist of routine, instead of what is inside my purse, I am doing a bag spill of everything in my latest commuter bag.

Like many a basic beeyotch, I frequently carry snacks, drinks, items to go to the post office, toddler artwork, and gym clothes in reusable shopping bags. Usually these are of the Trader Joe’s or Target variety. Lately, thanks to a stop at Fine Wine and Good Spirits, I have a branded bag that indicates that I am not of the sober variety.

What I am carrying in my bag:

  • I buy my Suja juices from Trader Joe’s. I find they are cheaper there than at Acme or Giant. This week, I brought in Celery Juice and Ginger Lemon Cayenne Juice. Kicky!
  • In an effort of staying healthier, I brought in a few wellness shots from Trader Joe’s. These are of the store brand and clock in at less than two dollars. On the other hand, they are over three dollars each at a standard supermarket.
  • Five days in the office, five apples.
  • I had to make a post office drop, because I am trying to edit down my closet.
  • Toddler art adorns my cork board at work. Several new pieces were dropped in my bag to add to my collection.
  • Lastly, I kept a bag of gym clothes in the office. I was signed up for Barry’s class starting on a treadmill. Because I could not recall what exact gear was in my gym bag aside from my trusty navy blue leggings, I also stashed a sleeveless top in my commuter bag.
