I initially exclusively wore this dress out and about for date nights, now it has graduated to daytime office outfit.
the banana republic bias-cut chiffon maxi dress
I ordered this dress during this past autumn season. Since then, I have worn it to several – okay, only two – nights out: once to a BalletX production and dinner after, and again to the auction night of The Print Center’s 110 Anniversary Week, a production of Brian Sanders’ Junk, and then dinner at Barclay Prime.
After wearing it on this snow day, I resolved to wear it to the office. With snow on the ground, L.L.Bean boots were essential. Without snow on the ground, I will wear the frock with my light blue UGG boots.
The dress is polyester, so yes, wearing this goes against my anti-synthetic fabric ethos. The fact of the matter is that I have gained so much weight in the past year, rendering most of my wardrobe obsolete. As a result, I really needed a few items that I could count on while I am trying to get out of this cortisol slump.
I am wearing this dress in a size extra large tall.
the banana republic cashmere accessories
In addition to a not pictured hat, I have been leaning on this pale blue scarf and mitten set. I love a set of contrasting set of winter accessories and this particular set looks fab against my muted blue, bright pink, kelly green, or vivid orange outerwear. I loved the set so much so that I scored the same set in magenta.
The cashmere feels especially cozy in a way that I will not go back to wool or any other fabric or fabric blend. One hundred percent cashmere from here on out.
