I Bought It / I Love It

Stuff for the family, mostly.

what I bought and kept

I have been needing a new pair of running shoes for awhile. My two pairs of Brooks Adrenalines are two years old.

My right foot continues to ail me and maybe a new pair of sneakers is the answer? Probably not.

I bought these in a size 11.

I have had my eye on this shirt for my husband since last summer. I initially spied it in the window of Marine Layer, snapped a photo, shared with my husband, and when he was indifferent to it, I deleted the image of shirt. I could not however, forget about the shirt.

I love that it is a natural fabric, and my husband does not have a ton of short sleeve button fronts. I recently got the urge to look up if it was still available and not only was I able to find it, but on markdown at that.

This year I tried to keep the Easter bunny bounty practical. The last thing I am giving them is another piece of plastic garbage, that will inevitably end up in the garbage.

I found these vintage-inspired band tee shirts at Born Yesterday, my favorite children’s store in Philadelphia.

The Police tee shirt was hanging in the window of the store and at that glance I knew Bebe Deux would love it. It was the last one and his size. I found the Fleetwood Mac tee shirt on the store’s concert tee shirt wall; perfect for Petite Garcon and his musical taste.

I love this dress because it is the closest a new style release has been to a vintage style. I can never find vintage Lilly Pulitzer maxi dresses in larger sizes, no matter how much I scour eBay, Etsy, 1st Dibs, or Poshmark.

It arrived with a ceramic catchall dish set as a gift with purchase. Not fantastic enough to trigger a purchase or keep something I would otherwise be neutral about, but a bonus.

I bought this dress in a size 16.

I had to return this dress. Despite how much I loved the fabric and the crochet detailing, the dress was simply too short to wear to work or with the children.

My oldest son, Petite Garcon, was quite thrilled when these new, larger XtraTufs arrived. XtraTufs are a staple of the Alaska outdoorsman, of which my husband counts himself and this is the (checks notes) third pair Petite Garcon has grown into.
