Linen Utility Shirtdress II

This was my most worn dress, last summer.

My husband had to travel for work in the middle of last summer. Accordingly, I shopped for exactly five dresses that I felt comfortable with repeating week after week, for four weeks. This linen utility dress was one of them, and the cream version was another. They were the first dresses I reached for in the morning and the first dresses that made their way through the laundry. At a time when I was managing two rambunctious little boys, this dress took one factor off of my plate.

Do I look unkempt in this dress? Naturally, at the very least. But again, the dress is linen and I have a standing say no to ironing linen policy. It only ever gets rumpled and I have to lean into that.

I am wearing this dress in a size large tall.

My A.Emery Pae sandals gathered the majority of my mileage last summer. These days I have worn, or earned, a hole mid foot at the bottle of both of the sandals. I will likely take them to a cobbler at the end of the season. Even if I cannot, I will still look for a replacement pair, as I have logged an absurd number of miles that only a city dweller could on these shoes over the course of two summers.

I kept kicking myself that I did not procure the tan colorway in addition to the black colorway.

I went am wearing these sandals in a size ten.
