I love this dress so much that I bought it in the navy colorway too.
the banana republic stretch-cotton utility mini dress
This dress recently – as in the last three weeks – went live on the Banana Republic website and I bought it full price as soon as I found out it was available in tall size range. I love the utilitarian shape. I love the pockets. I love the ripstop gorpcore fabric, which is the same as that of this jumpsuit I bought and subsequently wore all last winter.
The coverage of the shirt section is A plus. As opposed to a button front shirt, there is a solid amount of overlap between the two layers. Having shirt gapping is a nonissue in this dress; no worries of overexposure of one’s undergarments here! As such, I will be wearing this dress to the office into the fall.
As with most shirt dresses, I do not love how the back belt loop for the self belt land so high but due to the roomy nature of the dress style, cinching is necessary. Rather than belting it and using the buckle enclosure, I knotted the sash. The belt is a touch flimsy, ergo knotting or swapping out an actual belt is the way to do.

the tuckernuck catana necklace
This necklace is the best conversation starter. I always get the most compliments on it whenever I sport it. It makes an impact without looking too heavy. It is perfect for the spring and summer. It goes into retirement during fall and winter.
I had originally spotted this necklace during holiday circa 2024. Cut to Tuckernuck’s annual online sample sale (and what a cluster eff that sale was when it went ticketed circa 2022) and finding the necklace that I had my eye on for nearly half of the listed price.
