A dress so nice satisfactory, I bought it twice. Seriously, the dress is fine and the promotional price was palatable.
the banana republic cotton trapeze mini shirt dress
I went back and forth on this dress until a Friends & Family promotion hit the retailer and I bought both the blue stripe version and the solid olive green version of this dress. Rather than a traditional collar, this has a round neck with a covered placket that hits about five buttons toward the midsection. I like the drop waist and that is it slightly longer in the back because dump truck. I love that the dress has pockets.
The proportion of the shorter hemline of this dress requires a pair of flats rather than even a block heel. Heels with this dress would be too leggy especially for a lady in her forties. (How did that happen?)
I am wearing this dress in a large tall.
the manolo blahnik hangisi flat
I bought these shoes while they were on deep markdown circa November 2024. I had already copiously worn a pair of slingback heels from the same brand during the last bit of summer. I knew that if the heels were comfortable (enough, I rarely wear them out and about on the sidewalks) that the flats would be comfortable too.
I initially brought a pair of emergency loafers with me on the first two days I wore them to work. Surprisingly, there was not a blister to be had; the break in period was literally nil. Size-wise, I went up to a twelve in these shoes.
