GCD Redux: Georgetown

This tee shirt is making another appearance on the blog. I just love an adaptive reuse project, one of my favorites is screen printed on this tee, pre-adaptive reuse. I also love the Rowing Blazers brand. Fun fact: The founder and creative director of Rowing Blazers, Jack, has a Ph.D. in Archaeology and in a past conversation he expanded on how his academic background informs the brand. I never have been committed to any topic enough to pursue a Ph.D, but I do have a Master’s degree in Historic Preservation, which brings me full circle to the Georgetown tee shirt.

Nowadays the Georgetown Theater, which opened in 1913 and operated until 1986, is my beloved Compass Coffee, home to the Cherry Blossom Cold Brew. While it is a shame that it is no longer used for it’s original purpose, the greenest building is the one that is already built. For as long as I lived in DC, the old Georgetown Theater sat nascent, so who am I to critique it’s new use?

Sidebar: Get yourself a mom / interim photographer who makes you laugh so hard that you nearly pee your shorts… and the couch.
