Upon seeing the whitch LoveShackFancy Archer dress on the founder of the brand’s Instagram feed, I wanted to add it to my own closet. After playing the waiting game, I scored it on sale.
the LoveShackFancy Archer dress
I bought the LoveShackFancy Archer dress after the initial run sold out. I put my email on a waiting list and upon my size returning to stock, promptly purchased it. It was marked down to nearly half off, which admittedly still was a pricey purchase.
The outer layer of the dress is Swiss dot with crochet trim. It is slightly sheer. The shell has snap bra / slip stays for the included midi length slip. Rather than wear the longer length slip, I swapped it out for a mini length slip that came with my Ro’s Garden block print dress.
Size-wise, the Archer dress runs big. I bought a size twelve, which post-Pamper Pirate, is what I typically wear in the brand, but likely could have gone with a size ten.
the Mignon Faget bronze leaf jewelry
The Mignon Faget Banana Leaf collection, which I wore last weekend, is one of the brand’s heritage collections. Like many of her designs, Mignon Faget took a cue from local gulf coast flora and fauna as banana trees are prevalent in Louisiana. This particular collection is delightful, as the earrings are deceivingly light on the earlobes and the cuff, which is relatively new to the collection, has enough flexibility to adjust around nearly any wrist.
I have always worn designs in the sterling silver metal; though striking, the gold metal is simply out of my budget. Enter the e-coated bronze finish. Bronze was introduced last year as part of the Hive collection and consequently expanded to others: Banana Leaf, Knots and Bows, Mardi Gras, Renaissance, and Sea. It makes the warm finish more accessible to all budgets and also presents the option to mix metals, either by sporting two pieces of jewelry in contrasting tones or by wearing a piece that incorporates both bronze and sterling silver.
