Fit-my e-ring again-ness 11

The Bala Heavy Kit arrived at the end of last week, in the delivery of 42 parcels. It consists of the 25 pound Bala Beam and the fifteen pound Bala Ring. I was previously using the half pound, one pound, and two pound Bala Bangles, three pound Bala Bars, two and five pound handweights, and the ten pound Bala Ring.

What do I say about my new heavy equipment? While I was able to upgrade from the ten pound to the fifteen pound Ring, I was unprepared for the 25 pound Bala Beam. I could barely make it through three sets of eight bicep curls and my arms were shot the next day. But that is good! It means that I have progress to make and now thanks to Bala, I have the tools to do it.

March’s plank challenge had me planking for two minutes, thirty seconds by the end of this week. Not only was the Pamper Pirate failing as my hype man, but he was on the verge of a toddler meltdown. When the timer went off, my form was failing too. I have two more days to get my form right for the same time frame, before it ramps up to three minutes.
