I think these pants make quite the statement.
the Banana Republic eclat wide leg pants
These pants immediately struck me as similar to a pair Grace Adler wore during the latter season of first iteration of Will & Grace. I loved the character’s style and being able to emulate it is just a constant life goal. I was thrilled when I noted that the Banana Republic trouser is available in tall.
Despite the Banana Republic trousers being made of polyester and you know I feel about polyester, these brocade pants are everything and a total trophy item. Because they are 1) long with (at least) a 36 inch inseam, 2) a wide trouser leg which I rarely am able to find in a pant long enough for me, and 3) in an eye catching woven fabric with silver metallic touches that looks more expensive than it is, I bought the trousers. Truth be told, I nearly kept the matching crop top but you know, a mom in a crop top. 🙅🏻♀️
I am wearing these pants in a size twelve tall.
the J.Crew colette heels
These are my second pair of J.Crew Colette heels. My first pair was the brown and metallic silver on cream leopard print canvas d’orsay. I wore those for engagement photos on the cobblestone streets of Georgetown. As I sent them back to the states early with a friend who was visiting and offered to bring an extra suitcase back with her, they are waiting for me to kick around in Philadelphia.
This second pair is a gray flannel with faux pearl trim slingback. Both are great shoes but if I had to chose one, I prefer the d’orsay style over a sling back style. The former were a staple shoe for me through my pregnancy with the Pamper Pirate. To exercise full candor, I do not wear these as frequently because the slingback just is not as comfortable.
