Circa 2013, I owned at least one Lululemon Scuba hoodie. It had an off white background with black squiggle lines all over it. While it was not the best fit for someone topping six feet tall, it did the job. It kept me toasty going to and fro the yoga studio and during snowboarding, and I couldn’t really ask for more from it.
But still, anytime I attempted to wear the cuff thumb holes, the fit was not exactly comfortable. I got on with my life and eventually sold it on eBay. I also eventually became cognizant that the Scuba Hoodie disappeared from the Lululemon website for sometime. Right?
Okay, maybe it wasn’t.
Until recently, the style disappeared from my radar. However, a few weeks ago I clocked the new longer body length, which looked as though it was mimicked by length the sleeves. Could it be that a redesign made the Scuba Hoodie tall-person friendly?
Fact! I ordered one and wore it for the first time during the first weekend of November. The fit was generous in that I could zip it up over my six month pregnant midsection. The sleeves were cut in a way that that the thumb holes were comfortable to wear. The body length is certainly not as cropped as it used to be, although there is a cropped style option, as well as an oversized long funnel neck option, an oversized option, an oversized funnel neck half zip option, and an oversized half zip (cropped) option.
New and improved, indeed!
