In time for the 65th anniversary of the Palm Beach-originated resort labels (and Easter!), Lilly Pulitzer teamed up with Badgley Mischa on a limited edition collection of dresses.
The Lilly Pulitzer brand is no stranger to collaborations. The brand has teamed up with S’well, Hanky Panky, Goop, Lele Sadoughi, and Target. Of the selection, Goop is arguably the only brand more upscale than Lilly. That changes with this collaboration, as the red carpet favorite brings their signature ruffle and laser cut details to seven dresses that can take any gal from brunch to a semiformal wedding.
Do note that these dresses are nearly all composed of polyester. (And you know how I feel about polyester!) The line could have been improved upon had natural fibers – silk and cotton, specifically – been used in lieu of poly though admittedly poly synthetic has become de rigeur for most of the Lilly Pulitzer line these days. At prices starting at $475 and hiking up to $700, decide for yourself whether you want to spend so much on a man made fiber frock.
I know my answer.
