I bought this dress at the beginning of last summer and since then I only wore it once, as documented on the blog. It was available in a long length and I was looking for a few items to wear for the Fourth of July holiday, as our stuff, including summer wardrobes, still had not arrived from Asia. (Yes, I was still operating on my winter capsule collection.)

The dress fit me better last summer, but then again when I wore it last summer, I was a mere four weeks into my second pregnancy. When I wore it most recently, I was nearly eight weeks out of the same pregnancy and had even been mistaken for being with child only the day prior. All that it is to say that maybe it was not the most flattering of dresses, but it was comfortable! I will be not only holding onto it but actually wearing it, at the very least around the home.

This dress is a size 10 long, and though I could have worn it in a 12 long, I feel it would be too big in all places except for my midsectoon

the solid & striped sorbet colorblock pullover

I bought this pullover, and the matching shorts, during the summer of 2021. I was attracted to the early 1990s, summering in Kennebunkport aesthetic sported by many a mom, that this ensemble projected. Yes, I am fairly certain that my mom wore a very similar pullover.

While I gave away the matching shorts to a young lady whose stepdad worked in the same office as my husband at the U.S. / KZ embassy, as they suited her and her youth better than my cool mom try-hard vibe, I kept the pullover. I have worn it at least once before on the blog.

I am wearing the pullover in a size large. The sleeves are long enough, and while the banded bottom hem is a bit tight on my midsection, the torso length is also long enough for this six foot two inch tall giraffe.
