Womp, womp.
I had to return everything from my Banana Republic and Banana Republic Factory Store purchases. Either the size was off or the quality was off or both.
The cream colored sequin set from the retail arm was not worth the money at over three hundred dollars. Initially, I was going to just exchange the skirt for a size smaller. I thought I would need an extra large as the skirt is bias cut; I should have gone with a large. However my husband pointed out that the shirt bunched at the back seam, again a result of the bias cut. As such I decided a return was in the cards for the set.
I was so excited about the pink pleated skirt and crop top set. Ironically, it was not the crop top that was the offending piece. The skort was not really a skort. I was a full on pair of shorts with a weird center pleat situation in the front.
Finally, the blue sheath dress was too short and too tight in the midsection, despite it being a tall 14. I could have ordered it in a larger size and had it tailored. Unfortunately the size 16 tall is sold out.
I’m not that broken up about it though.
Alison Lou is having a sale on Loucite Jelly Hoops, including all sizes and colorways in the Loveshackfancy collaboration. They are a final sale situation, but as I have been wearing my two pairs on constant rotation this spring, I bought another set in each size.
