Remember when J.Crew introduced The Hookup and The Breakup? The former was the pairing of a top and bottom of the same print while the latter is wearing one of them at a time. While wearing one printed piece at a time is not revolutionary, I fell in love with wearing one print top to bottom, and not in the form of a dress or jumpsuit. Something about purchasing two pieces in one print feels very luxurious, yet attainable.
Banana Republic Factory Store, or BRFS if you are an employee of the store, is bringing back The Hookup this summer with matching set dressing but this time it is not necessarily in a print, though prints are included. Rather this time around, BRFS is throwing out sets in pastels, neutrals, and animal prints; yes, animal prints are neutrals.
I just had to have the lavender crop top and pleated skort set; I caught it when it was on sale with an extra twenty percent off. Happy hunting.
