I ordered this caftan during the Fourth of July promotion circa 2022. While I am not one to sport red, white, and blue, nor stars and stripes via my sartorial tendencies, what can I say? Living in Asia brought out my inner patriot.

As is the case with the La Vie Style House three dimensional lace caftans, this star lace caftan does tend to get caught on various items. Such is the downfall with this textile.

While the item description called it a cobalt blue, I would describe it as a royal blue. It does not come with a slip; I wore one that arrived as a detachable option to one of my Ro’s Garden dresses.

the krewe monroe sunglasses

These are one of the first pairs of Krewe sunglasses on which I indulged. Since then, the brand has moved to producing the Monroe style in nylon variations.

What the nylon descriptor means, I still have no idea. Research yielded no results. Request for information from Krewe went unanswered.

I cannot speak to the current iterations but when I bought my Krewe Monroe sunglasses, the arms were plated with 24 karat gold. The remaining components of the shades were also sourced from premium materials.

I was just besotted with the blue lenses on tortoise frames. Still am. 🤩
