Too many colors is not enough and I embraced every hue in this Tibi butterfly print.
the tibi graphic print dress
I just love old Tibi. You know, the styles before the 2012 rebrand. While I respect brand founder, Amy Smilovic’s, vision, it is undeniable that the original Hong Kong-based brand aesthetic is aligned with my own, characterized as an acid color fever dream. I just cannot say no to those 2000s-era showstopping prints!
So much so that I consistently shop the secondary market (Poshmark, The RealReal, ThredUp, eBay) after the rebrand when it became clear that those prints were no longer coming. When I found this particular dress on eBay, I placed a winning bid.
I am wearing this dress in a size twelve. While I cannot fit into the same brand, same size in the more structured fabric, fitted style, the jersey knit of this dress and the front pleating are more forgiving on my postpartum midsection.
