Truth: I don’t love this dress on my post baby body, and likely won’t wear it again.
the sarah flint silk grear ties
Sarah Flint released the Natalie Flats and Perfect Pump 85 in this silk floral print textile. I am not in the market for the pumps or yet another pair of Natalie flats. Seriously, I own at least seven pairs and those are only the ones I can count off the top of my head.
Less than a week after those new releases, my Instagram newsfeed served up a video of Sarah herself showing the new silk ties for the Grear sandals. She even provided a tutorial on the correct way to tie the Grear sandals; apparently I have been tying them incorrectly as long as I have been wearing them! #humbled
My only feedback is that it is slightly challenging to thread the ties into the Grear sandals. Don’t wait until last minute to do so!
the j.crew seersucker sheath dress
I bought this dress while in the throes of the pandemic, a few months after giving birth to my first born. It is more constricting than I remember. Being a sheath dress, the style and fabric reads rich provided that it properly fits whomever is wearing it.
Alas, the shape is not flattering to my post second baby body, particularly my midsection and bust. I do not feel like it fits me well nor do I look rich or feel confident in it. While at the grocery store later that day, a kind older woman even asked if I was pregnant.
I am wearing this dress in a size twelve tall. It will be going up on my eBay closet sale as soon as I get it back from the cleaners.
