I am remixing a dress that I was not exactly jazzed with, and the verdict a year later…?
the j.crew ruffleneck mini dress in eyelet
I am still not that into this dress. I bought it when I had a store credit due to a slow return from KZ to the stateside fulfillment center. I knew I was not going to be getting our household goods, including summer clothing, back from Asia in a timely matter so I bought a summer dress in March for the odd warm weather day.
the j.crew factory turquoise earrings
First off, these are not real turquoise. I have a tendency to lose earrings. I have been through so many pairs of the fifty dollar J.Crew studs. I refuse to buy Mikimoto or Tiffany pearl earrings. David Yurman earrings to match my cuffs and necklaces? No ducking way. All this is to say, that I do not wear my money on my ears.
I ordered these turquoise hued earring from J.Crew Factory about a decade ago. Longer, actually. I believe I wore them the summer of 2012. It was around the time J.Crew Factory moved online, as I most certainly was not leaving the city to hit the outlets.
Perhaps it is that these are one of the lucky few pieces of jewelry that made it down to the guest room where I have been living during this postpartum period, but these have been on constant rotation this past spring into summer. I wore them with white, black, coordinating, and contrasting colors. I never addressed them specifically on the blog, until today. Even costume jewelry deserves to have a moment, especially if the piece has been a total workhouse throughout the season!
After the jump, outfit photos, and credits, more turquoise jewelry – genuine and costume – available on the market right this moment.
