As I was walking down Pine Street a few months ago, a storefront caught my attention. It seems that a spot, 1024 Pine Street, has been fashioned into a workspace-slash-gallery. One specific piece, hung on the back wall, caught my attention.
Tony La Salle is a New Jersey/based artist, who opened shop in Philadelphia last spring. He works with acrylic on canvas and his work goes as far back as thirty years. His most frequent subjects are seascapes, florals, and my favorite, abstracts. La Salle also produces diptychs and triptychs. Don’t you just love a set?
The price point starts at two hundred dollars and climbs upward to three thousand dollars.
