what I loved and kept
I kept the shibori tie dye dress with the utility straps. I have the dress in black and I think I like it better in that color only because the blue and white dye clashes against said D-ring fastened straps. In theory I love the utility detail and the tie dye detail, even if they are not my favorite combination. Nevertheless, I am keeping the dress because I wore the black one all summer long. I ordered the dress in the same size as the black one, a small tall. Needless to say, it runs very big.
On the other hand, I initially ordered this dress a few weeks ago, in a size extra large tall. When it arrived in the mail, I wrestled my way into it to find it entirely too small. Without double checking the tag, I started mentally spiraling. I happened to spot the size tag that said medium tall and immediately stopped myself from excessive self criticism. Earlier this week, the replacement arrived. There is a strange discoloration around the black tipping, but it is not so bad that I do not want the dress.
