I found my weekday default outfit for the forthcoming winter.
the gap 100% cotton oversized mockneck sweater
Lately I just want to wear oversized sweaters in natural fibers. Alas finding a cotton (or wool or cashmere) sweater in that shape in a tall size range is ever-so-difficult. When I discovered this sweater, I nearly bought it in more than the pink color way, despite the fact that I am not a huge fan (or a fan at all) of the mockneck. Either make a funnel neck or commit to a turtleneck.
But I am not in the position to be picky, as nearly nothing is seemingly ticking the fiber and the size boxes. I will say that thanks to the cotton and a non constricting neckline, it is plenty comfortable. I washed it in cold water and laid it across a drying rack to dry.
I am wearing this sweater in a size large tall.
the gap 90s slim straight jeans
Black denim is fine for the office, yes? I recently read of the architectural designer who is behind The Met’s retail store whose uniform includes black Gap denim and with that, I decided I should also give it a shot. The 90s Slim Straight Jeans in faded black and standard black were my picks.
I was hoping to find a pair of boyfriend denim. These are not the exact cut of jeans that I wanted, but they will do.
I am wearing these jeans in a size 16 tall. As such, I get to throw these in the dryer after a cold water cycle, nary a worry about shrinking since they are already slightly cropped.
