This dress took its maiden voyage during the holiday season, specifically to The Nutcracker. I wore it again last week to the Museum for Art in Wood’s second annual Gallery Groove.
the ann mashburn susy shift maxi dress
I laid my eyes on this dress during the beginning of last holiday season. Unfortunately, Ann Mashburn rarely offers holiday sales and so, after weeks and weeks of obsession and watching the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales come and go, I purchased the dress with the introductory ten percent coupon code.
I typically dislike synthetic fabric, but I broke that rule with this dress. The top layer is a navy blue netting with wave pattern throughout; beneath is a black poly slip. It is a pullover style fastened with a button at the top of the back. A side slit ups the ante on the fancy factor.
I bought this dress in a size large.
the Sarah Flint perfect pump 85 mm fit
I went for the 85 millimeter high heel Perfect Pump. Being 6’-2” tall, it was a bold move on my part going for a tall heel but #yolo. What can I say? The pandemic changed people.
Like most of my Sarah Flint arsenal, I ordered a size 11 in the Perfect Pump 85. It was the right move for these shoes. If you have any doubt about size, err on the larger size.
Full candor: I consistently wore a size ten shoe pre-baby. However post-Pamper Pirate arrival, I am finding that my feet didn’t exactly shrink back to my original size. Pre-baby shoes are not as comfortable as they used to be. As such, I will say that I could be an anomaly when it comes to Sarah Flint fit.
