What I wore to record with a Philadelphia Councilmember at City Hall…
the j.crew factory linen-blend sleeveless mini dress
Earlier this spring I started shopping for summer fabric (i.e. linen) dresses of the shift style variety, in tall sizing. To my disappointment, I kept coming up with nothing. Cut to last week while researching for my weekly sale post when I discovered the linen blend sleeveless mini dress at J.Crew Factory Store. It was available in five colors, though I was only interested in the black, the hydrangea blue, and the white and navy stripe.
There are two winning points about this dress. First, though the dress is referred to as a mini by the retailer, it is still conservative enough for me to sport at the office. Thank goodness for tall size range, amirite? This dress also features slash pockets, my favorite accessory.
I am wearing this dress in a size 16 tall.
the jack rogers original sandal
At my peak, I owned at least nine pairs of Jack Rogers Original Sandals: platinum, silver, gold, bone, black patent, red patent, white with coral whipstitch, mint with white whipstitch, magenta with platinum whipstitch, and blue with platinum whipstitch.
Recently though, I went through a few summers not wearing them so much. In lieu of Jack Rogers, I have been opting for my Birkenstocks and A. Emery. However, I was feeling nostalgic for a simpler time and as such grabbed a pair of Jack Rogers for this outfit.
I am wearing the Jack Rogers in a size 10.
