What I wore to record six podcast conversations this past Sunday…
the gap organic poplin shirt and shorts
I bought this set in this striped pattern last spring when I clocked how remarkably similar it looked to another striped pattern as released by a decidedly more expensive, contemporary brand. Said contemporary brand did not/ does not offer extended sizes in tall, so I did not consider buying the nearly identical shirt.
I love the fit of the set, as I am a bit obsessed with oversized stuff these days. I am wearing the shirt and the shorts in a size large tall.
the a.emery pae sandals
The black detail on the dress called for a different shoe than my Jack Rogers or Sarah Flint Grear sandals. I recently retired all of the Jack Rogers in my closet and the metallic Grear lace up sandals just were not cutting it with this outfit. I wanted something pared down and more minimal on my feet.
I found these sandals while researching what Natasha Najinsky wore during her resurfacing on And Just Like That. I initially thought the shoes would be out of my budget; however I was pleasantly surprised by a relatively accessible MSRP, and beyond that, a markdown price. I would consider buying the tan pair, or if they are sold out, a similar style in a neutral.
I wore these for the first time last year and they did not tear up my feet at all. The break in period is nil, and I definitely clocked some steps wearing them.
I am wearing the sandals in a size 10.
