Don’t you just love when J.Crew Factory produces styles in natural fibers, in lieu of the polyester bullshit that has become de regular in mass market brands? Whenever the brand has released a linen style in the tall size range, I straight up jump at it.
I typically do not love dresses that button up the front. The spaces between the buttons gape. A few years ago, I had a dress that both buttoned up the front and zipped up the side, I had a tailor sew up the front, rendering the button closure nonfunctional. So much more flattering!
The buttons on this dress, unlike that dress that I had sewn up, are not functional. There is a zip closure of the back. The faux buttons are just so much for streamlined than a functional option.

I had been looking for a pair of earrings like this for awhile. Calling back to the 80s and 90s, I love the chunky gold chain circling a big fat pearl. The earrings remind me of a vintage Chanel, UES-residing woman who might have a vanity job at a publishing house circa 1989.
Initially I tried a pair for Jennifer Behr, alas they were entirely too heavy on my earlobes. These popped up on my radar shortly thereafter and I jumped at the lower price point and as it turns out, a lesser weight on my ears. They were actually light enough that I forgot that I was wearing them.
