I Bought It / I Love It

Autumn rollout is on.

what I bought and kept

I bought this snap front utility dress from Banana Republic. It was available in tall, the hemline was not too short, and I love the ripstop fabric. It is a great dress for both work and for going out.

Once I wore the green version out and about, I spotted a site wide promotion of thirty percent off full price styles. I then ordered the navy blue version.

I bought both versions in large tall. While it feels a bit boxy, the attached belt is perfect for cinching.

This camel cotton skirt with the black trim reminds me of a style ripped straight out of an early aughts romantic comedy lead character’s closet, no? Or something that you would find in one of the earliest issues of Lucky magazine. This skirt nearly sold out immediately across both standard, petite, and tall size ranges. This speaks to the versatility of the skirt.

I bought the skirt in a size 14 tall.

If the above camel colored skirt is from Andie Anderson’s or the thirtysomethibng version of Jenna Rink’s closet, this plaid car coat is the senior varsity, Nora Ephron rom com version. I thought the tall size range was going to sell out much more quickly than it did. (Actually the dark foggy gray was the first one to go.) Obviously, I had to lay claim to my very own plaid car coat.

What other style did sell out of the tall size range? The Gap rugby stripe dress went going, going, gone and I stalked the extra large into availability. These days, I believe this dress goes in and out of availability across all size ranges, so you know, good luck scoring it. May the odds be ever in your favor.
