After hanging in my closet for nearly a year, I finally took this skirt out for a whirl.
the banana republic factory store twill pencil skirt
I bought this skirt and its olive green sister at the same time that I bought the cropped utility pants in both of the same colorways. The crisp fall weather made it more intuitive to wear the pants, which I continued wearing into the spring and this past summer, if I was feeling swampass wouldn’t be an issue. With that I completely neglected the skirt.
Real talk: my midsection is too thick to be wearing fitted skirts. Let’s call it cortisol. I ended up unzipping the top quarter of the side zipper and pulling my tee shirt over it for the entire workday.
What I do love about the skirt is the utility pockets and the front slit that allows plenty of ventilation and thigh room.
I am wearing this skirt in a size sixteen tall.
the gap organic cotton tee shirt
I discovered this tee shirt circa last spring. I ordered it in black, gray, and white, the standard Gap colors. Since then, I have worn each of the three colors enough times to warrant buying a second set and then a third.
I am wearing this in a size large tall.
