A dress so nice satisfactory, I bought it twice. Seriously, the dress is fine and the promotional price was palatable.

I went back and forth on this dress until a Friends & Family promotion hit the retailer and I bought both the blue stripe version and this solid olive green version of this dress. Rather than a traditional collar, this has a round neck with a covered placket that hits about five buttons toward the midsection. I like the drop waist and that is it slightly longer in the back because dump truck. I love that the dress has pockets.
The proportion of the shorter hemline of this dress requires a pair of flats rather than even a block heel. Heels with this dress would be too leggy especially for a lady in her forties. (How did that happen?)

Stubbs & Wootten loafers come with a steep price tag but every pair I bought has been on sale. As I have three pairs, I can speak to the sizing with confidence. Fit-wise, I had to return my first pair which I ordered in a size 10.5 in exchange for a pair of size 11 loafers. I would typically chalk this up to my post Pamper Pirate pregnancy foot swell, but my husband had to return his for a half size larger as well.
Stubbs & Wootten customer service is unparalleled. My replacement shoes arrived with lightning fast speed.
The quality of the footwear brand is also top notch. Upon my first week in Kazakhstan, I slipped and fell in the snow while wearing my Pollocks. I was relieved and impressed to see that the velvet loafer stood up to a Kazakhstan snow bank and later, my husband’s office, as I was bracing myself for blisters as I do for the most beautiful of shoes. Alas the loafers did not ail my feet in the slightest. I repeat: the break-in period is literally nil.
All of my Stubbs and Wootton loafers are a size 11.
