I waited entirely too long to take this dress out and about.
the banana republic stretch-cotton twill utility midi dress
I bought this dress at the end of fall last year. I was feeling pretty neutral about even the navy blue color, but it was on sale and it was available in tall. I am a total sucker for utility details. This dress has the same pleated short sleeves as the tomato red and mint green color block cotton poplin barrel cut dress. In addition to the zipper up the front secured with a snap closure tab, there is a zipper down the back. My favorite part is the slash side pockets.
I held off on wearing this dress for so long because the heavy stretch canvas never felt like a good layer for the summer, the hemline requires no less than a block heel whereas I am in sandals from June to the September, and initially, I was self conscious about how it fit around my midsection.
I am wearing this dress in a size large tall.
the manolo blahnik reador heels
I scored these Manolo Blahnik block heels last winter, around holiday. At the time, I was having issues with pain in my right school. To be honest, my right foot still plagues me; my right shoes always feel slightly more full than that of my left ones.
Last winter I took these out to Calder Gardens and then The Barnes. By the end of our museum time, I was not necessarily hobbling but I was ready to hop into a Lyft home and change into a pair of Uggs. These days, however, my shoes are fitting better than before. My right shoe is tighter, but I was able to scamper around during the workday sans pain.
I am wearing these shoes in a size twelve.
