Tick tock, tick tock. Two more days to shop the 25% off Mignon Faget Black Friday sale. It went live last Saturday and most of my Gift Guide picks are still available. This is the perfect opportunity to purchase and investment piece (pieces?) of jewelry that might have previously been out of your budget. I have my eye on the Twist Bow Necklace. Act fast as you only have until November 30th.
the jewelry
I started collecting pieces from the Tulip collection back in 2007. The necklace came from a friend who misplaced hers and replaced it. Two weeks later she found her original in her gym bag. Shortly after that, I procured the ring for myself. Cut to 2019 when the Tulip Linking Bracelet went on sale and I requested it for my Valentine’s Day gift. Unfortunately the Tulip Linking Bracelet is no longer available, but it was replaced with a cuff.) To complete the set, I bought the earrings this past spring.
Not only this set, but all Mignon Faget is absolutely iconic in the south. Though there is enough variety that you will not be twinning with every girl on the coast, the jewelry will be recognized. Sporting it inducts you in a sort of sisterhood.
the dress
In a particularly sustainable move, this is not the first time wearing this frock on the blog. This is a reflection of how often I wear it off the blog. Even more sustainably, I purchased this via eBay circa 2017 though it has the Milly branding from pre-2012. If I love the style five-plus years after the dress was initially released, it is a good bet that this dress and I are going to be lifers.
The dress is not too short for a tall gal to wear and not feel overexposed. I usually tie the built-in scarf but it also works worn undone, allowing the jewelry to be the star of the outfit.
