What I wore to chase around the Pamper Pirate on Father’s Day:
the dress
I celebrated the Kazakhstan steppe weather turning to spring with the purchase of this dress from Nordstrom. It is on the less expensive side for the Loveshackfancy brand, particularly for a maxi dress. It was 57 degrees Fahrenheit the first day that I wore it, so layering up was a necessity.
How does Loveshackfancy fit? With the exception of the Target collaboration, the brand notoriously shies away from providing plus sizes. The brand’s website as well as stockist Nordstrom carries up to size extra large and 12. Other stockists carry up to size 8 or 10. Looking at you, Revolve and Moda Operandi.
In this respect, I ordered an extra large in this style but I should not have jumped to the largest size available. Had I been in the states, I would have either purchased both sizes and returned the one that did not fit or exchanged the extra large for a smaller size.
I will get my dress altered.
the sandals
I recently mentioned on the blog that the Grear sandal would be my next Sarah Flint shoe. Color me influenced by, Meghan Markle, who has been spotted in the summer-friendly style. As inspired by a rise in the temperatures on the Kazakhstan steppe, I ordered the Sarah Flint Grear sandals.
Sizing-wise, I went with my true, pre-baby size shoe. For context, I go up a size in my leather and suede Sarah Flint Natalie flats. I go up an entire size in my velvet Sarah Flint Natalie flats.
