Collab Factor

It is no secret that I love a good brand x brand collaboration. Something about the limited run of clothing really triggers an urgency that works my psyche. Call it the Lilly Pulitzer for Target effect.

You name a collaboration and I set an alarm to shop it, going back to the aforementioned bloodbath that was Lilly for Target. When the online store started crashing and it became apparent that product was not going to be available, I started to preparing for the worst case IRL shopping situation. I confirmed that the collection would be stocked via phone, and stopped at the Dunkin’ Donuts before showing up an hour early for the suburban Target.

I was the first in line. And yes, I started the line as soon as I saw another car (with a monogram sticker) pull into the parking lot. If you are not first, you are last. So started my collaboration limited-run obsession.

Earlier in the week, I uncovered a few Lele Sadoughi collaborations which led me to uncover some Loveshackfancy collaborations. Nobody kills the collab game like those brands. The devil works hard but Lele and Beck work harder.
