Full candor: I accidentally bought this Draper James x Lands’ End gingham set under the impression that it was a tall size.
the Draper James x Lands’ End camisole
I ordered a size large in the gingham camisole. As it is a cotton woven piece, as translated in the item photo, I knew that there would not any stretch. I prefer the clothing I sleep in to be oversized, so I can throw it in the dryer.
There is smocking at the neckline of the camisole, so it provides give. The straps are adjustable. There are about an inch worth of side vent at the bottom hem.
the Draper James x Lands’ End shorts
I ordered a size large in the gingham sleep shorts. Despite not being a tall size, the standard size shorts have a relatively modest inseam. Size large has about four inches in the inseam. They also feature pockets, presumably for hiding your mouth guard from your toddler offspring.
The shorts have an elastic waist, but no drawstring. Again, they are cotton woven, so there is no stretch either. This style does not have vents in the bottom hem, so keep that in mind if your thighs are on the thicker side.
I can imagine this style would work on all bodies with the exception of an hourglass shape. There is no way to pull in the waist on a larger size to accommodate thighs. Conversely, shorts that fit a smaller waist would not accommodate fuller legs. (This is one of the only times I have been happy about my apple shape.)
the hoodie
Usually I only address two items in any given outfit; however, I ordered this cashmere hoodie for my husband. I wish Lands’ End would make a women’s version in tall. It is the perfect sweater for my husband to layer over an oxford with a pair of chinos on casual Friday, and the perfect sweater for me to steal to wear over pajamas on Sunday morning.
This sweater is a men’s large tall. While it runs long in the body, this hoodie has the perfect sleeve length.
