Year of Less (7/365)

Seven days of shopping moratorium success here! I cannot deny that the Kazakhstan government shutting down the internet helped me resist online shopping as it was actually impossible for the majority of the past week.

This is what I resisted. as tracked on my Twitter feed:

Orders from as far back as November are still rolling in and with the internet blackout, I suspect they will into February. I will be sharing feedback about what I am keeping and returning. Again, this portion of the check-in will eventually phase out. I kept these belts:

…and these are the items from orders that have arrived and must be returned, along with a little feedback:

I am returning a dress from Ralph Lauren and a pair of Manolo Blahniks from Bergdorf Goodman. I ordered the Ralph Lauren Polo Aran Knit Sweater Dress in a size large. Unfortunately, it was just too short.

The Manolo Blahnik Hangisi flats are beautiful. However, I know that the brand runs small. Flats are more constricting than their heel counterparts, so I went up a size and a half, and ordered an 11.5. I was sent a 41.5, which I understand is actually a French size 10.5. Bergdorf Goodman sent me the wrong size! For shame. The shoes have to go back and I’m not even going to bother with exchanging it. I am linking the item via Nordstrom, so if you feel so moved to make a purchase, you will get the size you ordered.
