Fit-my e-ring again-ness 9

The embassy gym re-opened two weeks ago and it felt downright amazing to use the legs on the treadmill. Even with the experience of walking outside and pulling the Pamper Pirate behind me in the sled, I cannot articulate how much I missed running. Though I am still working my way to running six miles in an hour, I feel amazing after 65 minutes on the treadmill.

I picked up running intervals starting at zero and every ten minutes thereafter. Rather than run for a set amount of time, I run for a song and walk the remaining time until the next ten minutes. My goal is to incrementally increase time and beat the last treadmill session miles covered.

It is too convenient to stop doing body weight exercises and lifting weights during the week, though. As long as I spend weekdays at home with the Pamper Pirate, the name of the game will be strength training. It helps me be a better runner, as I am running faster pieces during the intervals.

Let’s meet back here next week, same time same place, for a check in?
