Forget matchy-matchy; coral and turqouise for the power clashing win! In the same way that red and green compliment each other, the coral and the sea green combination is the summer / resort version of the holiday color scheme. When in doubt, go back to the color wheel.
no. 0157 coral floral maxi caftan
I purchased six La Vie Style House caftans this summer and kept them all. This particular stunner was briefly restocked. The timing was fortuitous as the brand’s Memorial Day sale went live shortly thereafter.
I cannot get over how the La Vie Style House caftans fit both the small and tall. Upon slipping it on, I was pleasantly surprised how well the cut flatters my giraffe-y height. Though it does not hit the intended maxi length on me, and not many caftans do, I like the midi length on me.
Once again, the La Vie Style House caftans do not come with slips. You have to supply your own or layer over a swimsuit. I wore the Juliet Dunn slip (in a size three [size 8-10] for reference) under the no. 0157 coral floral maxi caftan. It is thinner and lighter than the standard Banana Republic Factory True Hues slip, and better suited the 80 degree day.
fry powers turquoise & malachite necklace
I could not stop thinking about this necklace in the days after discovering it on Matches Fashion. Half turquoise and half malachite? Sign me up. I love the contrast of the two stones and I love the contrast against the coral La Vie Style House caftan. The brand is out of New York and the products, or at least this necklace, are made in the United States.
