Brøgger Emery Dress

Yet another ShopBop brand discovery…

the brøgger emery dress

I discovered Brøgger via searching ShopBop for “neon.” The search yielded the Emery dress from the London-based label.

I am wearing a size large in the dress, though I could have, should have gone down a size. However, it was marked down to final sale by the time I discovered it and subsequently, could not stop thinking about it. The larger size was the more conservative choice but moving forward on like-style Brogger selections, I would go with a medium.

The fabric is something else. My husband calls me Gorp-core Mom when I wear the dress, because the fabric is a technical rip stop nylon. The fabric is akin to what tents are made of and it is lined. Rather than a tent-like silhouette though, the cords allow a customizable fit, including length.

the krewe dauphine sunglasses

New Orleans was the least likely place for a sunglasses label to pop up, but lo and behold circa 2013 Krewe du Optic (since rebranded to Krewe) was born. Stirling Barrett ditched the idea of opening up a gallery in favor of establishing an optical label that would eventually become favorites of celebrities and the everyday Jane.

The Dauphine is one of the initial frames. Unfortunately the style does not seem to be in production these days. In addition to the Dauphine, the Felicity, Octavia, and Julia have also been discontinued. If I can recommend any frame still in production, that would be the Monroe. The Monroe is a chic cat eye. I happen to own it in two colorways.
