Polo Ralph Lauren Cici Shirtdress

An encore from my Easter dress…

the Ralph Lauren cici silk shirtdress

This is the second time this dress has appeared on the blog, first being Easter. While I selected the same corset belt in lieu of the sash it arrived with, rather than pairing it with a utility jacket and sandals, I went with a pair of heels for the walk up two floors to our neighbors’ flat for a Pamper Pirate play date.

I am wearing this dress in a size 12. While the waist sits high tee than I would prefer, it is not the empire waistline of the Hill House Home Laura Shirtdress.

the J.Crew colette d’orsay pumps

I purchased these with the intention to wear during my engagement photo session back in 2016. The engagement photo session consisted of two hours of walking around Georgetown, including navigating cobble stone streets, dirt paths along the canal, and the pebbled road near the boathouses. Afterwards, the fiance and I went to a party celebrating a couple of our newly eloped friends on 14th Street, a tiki bar on U Street, and Old Ebbit Grill for late night raw bar. I didn’t remove the Colette d’Orsay Pump until we returned to the hotel, well after midnight.

While this print is long gone for the better part of six years, the shoe is still being produced. J.Crew makes the Colette Pump in full footed, standard slingback, and asymmetrical slingback options, each in a variety of colorways.

Sizing-wise, I was able to wear my typical shoe size, a 10. These shoes were one of the only pairs I miraculously was able to wear throughout my pregnancy. I logged a few miles during that fall and winter as they were my go-to shoes.
